According to an embodiment of the present invention, an inductance estimation method of a permanent magnet synchronous motor comprises: a step of calculating line-to-line voltage from a three-phase voltage equation of the permanent magnet synchronous motor; a step of calculating no-load back-EMF of each line voltage from the line-to-line voltage; a step of calculating a ratio of the no-load back-EMF of each three-phase voltage or current; and a step of estimating d-axis and q-axis inductance. By forming such a composition, d-axis and q-axis inductance is estimated regardless of magnetic flux component interlinked by a rotor. Thus, inductance estimation can be more accurate.
