PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance intensity stability of generated light.SOLUTION: An acoustooptic element includes an acoustooptical medium, and a piezoelectric conversion element. The acoustooptical medium has a hexahedral shape. The piezoelectric conversion element is arranged on a surface C of the acoustooptical medium. All four respective angles formed by a surface D and surface E, surface F, surface G, and surface H which share respective one of four sides of the surface D which face the surface C are not orthogonal, and at least one of eight angles formed by two surfaces among the surface C, surface E, surface F, surface G, and surface H via a side shared by the two surfaces is not orthogonal. |
