<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for inspecting a printing plate, in each of which both the image data prepared in a plate-making process and in a printing process can be inspected suitably in such an environment that the plate-making process is separated from the printing process and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The plate-making image data D2 is subjected to RIP (raster image processing) treatment using a proof-reading image forming condition D3 to prepare proof-reading image data D4. A plate-making data file F2 with proof-reading information including the plate-making image data D2, the proof-reading image forming condition D3 and the proof-reading image data D4 is created and inspected electronically before outputted to an offset printing machine. A work station is equipped with: a proof-reading information extraction part 72 for extracting the plate-making image data D2, the proof-reading image forming condition D3 and the proof-reading image data D4 from the created plate-making data file F2 with proof-reading information; and an image comparison and inspection part 82 for comparing the proof-reading and reproduction image data D4' prepared by RIP treatment on the basis of the extracted plate-making image data D2 and proof-reading image forming condition D3 with the extracted proof-reading image data D4 and inspecting them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
