The present invention relates to a mobile terminal which can execute an application, and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal comprises: a display portion which outputs an execution screen of a first application in a first area and an execution screen of a second application in a second area at the same time in a screen lock state; a user input portion which receives a control command corresponding to a control operation which is executed based on at least one of data outputted in the first area and data outputted in the second area; and a control portion which executes the control operation corresponding to the received control command. |
