PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting that suppresses formation of a gap between an inner meeting stile and an outer meeting stile at a time of fire, and allows a sash to be opened and closed readily during normal times even when the inner and outer meeting stiles warped or were dislocated due to a strong wind, etc.SOLUTION: In a sliding window 1 having an inner sash 20 and an outer sash 30 that opens and closes in a width direction, a restricting part 70 is installed on an inner meeting stile 23 and an outer meeting stile 33 for restricting movement of the meeting stiles in the width direction. The restricting part 70 has a closing member 712 that serves as a thermal fuse that fuses at temperatures higher than a predetermined temperature.
