PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a brake system and a brake system which can prevent occurence of delay in responsiveness required for securing target pressure in a negative pressure chamber of a brake booster.SOLUTION: A control method for a brake system 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, in which an electric vacuum pump 18 comprises a brushless motor 40 as a driving source for generating negative pressure, performs basic control so that negative pressure generated by executing regular driving of the brushless motor 40 is supplied into a negative pressure chamber of a brake booster 12; and executes, when difference pressure &Dgr;P between target booster inner pressure BPM and current booster inner pressure bpm is lower than predetermined pressure p1, pre-driving for driving the brushless motor 40 under a driving condition different from the driving condition for the regular driving.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
