PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine what causes an abnormal engine behavior and execute an appropriate fuel injection control.SOLUTION: A fuel injection control unit including fuel injection control means executing pilot injection prior to main injection, comprises: revolving-speed-variation detection means detecting a value indicating a variation in a revolving speed of an engine; and abnormality determination means determines that an engine behavior is abnormal if the value indicating the variation in the engine revolving speed is equal to or higher than a preset first threshold, the fuel injection control means stopping the pilot injection or reducing a fuel amount for the pilot injection until passage of certain time if it is determined that the engine behavior is abnormal, and restarting the pilot injection if the value indicating the variation in the engine revolving speed is not below a preset second threshold during passage of the certain time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
