PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation of emissions resulting from the operation of a decompression mechanism associated with the stop of fuel supply in an engine including the decompression function.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: Even if a fuel cut operation starts, start of operation of a decompression mechanism is delayed to an end of an expansion stroke of a cylinder in which fuel is injected at latest timing before (ii) start of the fuel cut operation, the start of the operation of the decompression mechanism is permitted for the first time after the end of the expansion stroke (iii), and communication of a combustion chamber with an exhaust passage is started by the decompression mechanism (iv). It is, therefore, possible to suppress the degradation of emissions resulting from the operation of the decompression mechanism associated with the stop of fuel supply.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
