The present invention relates to magnetorheological fluid containing magnetic particles surrounded with foamed polymers having excellent stability, and a producing method thereof. The magnetorheological fluid of the present invention has multi-layered particles formed by having ferromagnetic particles surrounded with polymers. The multi-layered particles gain porosity by going through a foaming process; thereby decreasing density, and significantly reducing a sedimentation rate due to increased stability. The response speed with respect to a magnetic field in the magnetorheological fluid is at a level of milliseconds (10^-3 second), thus being very fast. Additionally, the magnetorheological fluid is simultaneously reversible and has enhanced stability; thereby the magnetorheological fluid is able to widely be used for the development of various equipment using the same. |
