PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for a droplet discharge part which uniformly cleans a nozzle arrangement surface with a simple configuration, and has a capability of selectively cleaning a portion that requires cleaning while suppressing breakage of a water repelling film on the nozzle arrangement surface and effect of dust generation.SOLUTION: A cleaning device 40 cleans a droplet discharge part 5 containing a plurality of nozzles 11 for discharging a droplet. It includes cleaning means 50 for submerging the droplet discharge part in a cleaning liquid, or cleaning, and thermal energy supply means 80 equipped with a plurality of heating elements 82 which supply thermal energy to the cleaning liquid.
