An electronic window and a control method therefor. The electronic window comprises an underlayment substrate (1), and a first polarization device (2) and a second polarization device (3) which are located at the same side or different sides of the underlayment substrate (1), wherein in an OFF state, the first polarization device (2) is used for converting incident light into first polarized light and emitting the first polarized light, the polarization direction of the first polarized light being perpendicular to that of the second polarization device (3); and the second polarization device (3) is used for preventing the first polarized light from being emitted; and in an ON state, the first polarization device (2) is used for transmitting the incident light, and the second polarization device (3) is used for transmitting the incident light or converting the incident light into third polarized light and emitting same, the polarization direction of the third polarized light being the same as that of the second polarization device (3). The electronic window increases the security and realizes a relatively high switching speed between an ON state and an OFF state of the electronic window at a relatively low temperature. |
