The objective of the present invention is to provide a light transmissive body in which excellent durability, abrasion resistance, and lubricity as well as excellent adhesiveness are achieved. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a light transmissive body is provided which includes: a fiber line having a core composed of a first glass and a cladding that is composed of a second glass and coats an outer peripheral surface of the core; and a coating layer that coats the outer peripheral surface of the cladding. The coating layer includes a plurality of nonionic surfactant molecules each of which is hydrogen-bonded to the cladding.
