PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition analyzer small in size and high in analysis precision, and a method for analyzing compositions.SOLUTION: A food analyzer 10 includes: a wavelength variable interference filter 5 for selecting and emitting a light with a specific wavelength from lights reflected by a measurement object; an imaging unit 132 for capturing an image of the light emitted from the wavelength variable interference filter 5; a storage unit 161 for storing specific gravity data on the specific gravities of foods; a specific gravity estimating unit 166 for estimating the specific gravity of the measurement object based on the captured image of a food obtained by the imaging unit 132 and the specific gravity data; a volume estimating unit 167 for estimating the volume of the measurement object based on an image of a reference object captured with the image of the measurement object and having a known size; and a composition analysis unit 168 for analyzing the compositions of the measurement object based on the estimated specific gravity and volume. |
