PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gene expression and pain.SOLUTION: Pain may be defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage. Chronic pain afflicts 40% of the U.S. population and is associated with numerous deleterious medical conditions. The present invention relates to double-stranded oligonucleotides, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and use of such double-stranded oligonucleotides and pharmaceutical compositions to modulate nociceptive signaling in a cell or prevent and/or treat pain in a patient. |
