The present invention aims to provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film, which exhibit excellent withstand voltage characteristics and reliability and secure stable productivity and processability into an element in high-voltage capacitor applications, and therefore is suitable for capacitors and other applications and has high dimensional stability, a low thermal shrinkage at high temperatures, and in particular, a low thermal shrinkage stress. The present invention is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film having a meso pentad fraction of 95% or more but less than 98%, a thickness of 1 to 3 µm, and a transversal thermal shrinkage stress at 140°C of 0 N/mm 2 to 1 N/mm 2 . |
