<p>Radiation-curable coating composition comprises: (a) 0-80 wt.% of (meth)acrylate monomer; (b) 2.5-90 wt.% of (meth)acrylate oligomer; (c) 5-30 wt.% of initiator and accelerators; (d) 0.5-5 wt.% of nanoscalic fillers; and (e) 0-5 wt.% of additives, where: the accelerator includes at least one tertiary amino group-containing compounds; and the composition comprises pigments that include oxides, phosphates, halides, sulfates or oxyhydrates of aluminum, titanium, zirconium, silicon, zinc, iron, manganese, barium, strontium, calcium or magnesium with an average particle diameter of 2-500 nm. Independent claims are included for: (1) an object made from a substrate and crosslinked layers of the above coating composition, where the crosslinked layer exhibits a thickness of 20 to up to 500 mu m (preferably 100-300 mu m); and (2) preparing a layer from the radiation curable coating composition, comprising applying a layer of the radiation curable coating composition on a substrate, crosslinking the layer by UV radiation, where the layer exhibits a thickness of 20-500 mu m.</p> |
