The present invention relates to a system for authenticating a defined user action over a computer network and a method thereof. An authentication service receives an authentication request from an authentication service to perform an action according to convenience of a user. The authentication service then sends a permission request to a mobile terminal associated with the user, asking the user whether or not the action should be allowed. The user sends a permission response to the authentication service via the mobile terminal wherein the permission response grants or denies the action. The user eliminates a need to manually provide a response to a future permission request and selects an automation process which performs a similar action in the future when at least one automation criterion is met (e.g., the geographical location of the mobile terminal). Information necessary to determine whether the automation criterion is met is stored locally on the mobile terminal. |
