PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component type development device capable of suppressing generation of peripheral white streaks and deterioration of granularity while suppressing periodic density variation, an image forming apparatus comprising the development device, and a process cartridge.SOLUTION: A development device includes a latent image carrier, a developer carrier which includes magnetic field generation means and a development sleeve, and a development sleeve voltage application means for applying a development voltage on the development sleeve. The development sleeve voltage application means applies a development voltage Vb including an AC component having a frequency of 2.0 [kHz] or less, the duty ratio of a component on a polarity (positive polarity) side reverse to a toner normal charge polarity (negative polarity) in the AC component is 94[%] or more, and a peak value on the polarity side reverse to the toner normal charge polarity in the AC component is more on the toner normal charge polarity side than a potential VL of a development part in a latent image on the surface of the latent image carrier. |
