A mobile terminal apparatus comprises: a display unit for displaying images; an operation input unit for inputting user operations; and a wireless communication unit for performing wireless communications using a wireless LAN. If it is possible for the wireless communication unit to perform mutual communications with a predetermined access point when the mobile terminal apparatus is activated from a sleep state, the display unit is caused to display remote controller control buttons. If any one of the remote controller control buttons is selected, the mobile terminal apparatus transmits a remote controller control signal corresponding to the selected remote controller control button. |
