PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output laser oscillator by increasing power of excitation light that can be introduced, while suppressing damage or the like in a fluoride fiber.SOLUTION: An optical fiber device includes a first fluoride fiber 3 and a quartz fiber 4. A tip of the quartz fiber 4 is obliquely connected to a side surface of the first fluoride fiber 3. The quartz fiber 4 has a first end to or from which light is incident or emitted, and includes a coating layer 8 on a tip surface 4b of a second end, the coating layer allowing light to transmit and restricting migration of moisture into the first fluoride fiber 3. The quartz fiber 4 is connected by fusing a side surface of the first fluoride fiber 3 to the coating layer 8. |
