PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image formation efficiently even by an image forming apparatus that performs a control of image formation conditions according to the thickness of a medium.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus of the present invention comprises: a medium thickness measurement section for measuring the medium thickness of a medium; image forming means for forming an image on a medium; storage means for storing first image formation condition determination information in which image formation conditions applied to the image forming means for each medium thickness range are defined; and image formation condition determination means for determining image formation conditions of the image forming means, which determines first image formation conditions corresponding to a first medium thickness measured by the medium thickness measurement section on the basis of the first image formation condition determination information, then holds second image formation condition determination information in which the medium thickness range corresponding to the determined first image formation conditions is expanded, and is capable of determining second image formation conditions corresponding to a second medium thickness measured by the medium thickness measurement section on the basis of the held second image formation condition determination information. |
