A DC to AC inverter (100) for inverting a direct current of a multitude of DC power sources (10A, 10B) to a three-phase alternating current of a three-phase grid (20) is provided. The DC to AC inverter comprises an inverting unit (120) with a first sub-inverter (130) and a second sub-inverter (140), wherein each of the first and second sub-inverters (130, 140) is configured to be provided with a DC current via a primary side (119) of the inverting unit (120). The first sub-inverter (130) is configured to provide a first AC current to a first AC output phase (122A) of the three-phase grid (20). The second sub-inverter (140) is configured to provide a second AC current to a second AC output phase (122B) of the three-phase grid (20). The inverting unit (120) is configured such that a magnitude of the first AC current and a magnitude of the second AC current are substantially equal and shifted 120° to each other. The first sub-inverter (130) and the second sub-inverter (140) are connected such that a third AC current is provided to a third AC output phase (122C) of the three-phase grid as a negative sum of the first AC current and the second AC current. |
