A head and face support may be affixed to the head restraint of a motor vehicle seat by locating an elongate bar (Part 3 Figure 1) between the upright bars of said head restraint, see figure 4. A curved elongate bar (Part 2 Figure 1) is connected at one end to said elongate bar and at a second end to a face support (Part 1 Figure 1). Said face support is shaped, in the manner of a boxing mask, contacting the forehead, temples and facial regions of the head. As the wearer is thus interposed between the conventional seat back / headrest at the back of the user and the face mask to the front of the user the head is prevented from falling forward or sideways if the user falls asleep. The device may be used with a child / booster seat. |
