摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for estimating the distribution of refractive indices at each point in a thickness direction of a coating film having a binder and at least two kinds of metal oxide particles with different refractive indices. <P>SOLUTION: With the method, the refractive index distribution is estimated in the width direction of a coating film composed of the first coating liquid containing the first metal oxide particles and the second coating liquid containing the second metal oxide particles and the same binder. The method includes: a step 1 of acquiring the distribution of elements in the thickness direction of the coating film, the first main elements constituting the first metal oxide particles and the second main elements constituting the second metal oxide particles, and the film thickness TH<SB POS="POST">d</SB>of the coating film; a step 2 of converting the distribution of elements (profile) acquired in the step 1 with a quantitative data ratio; a step C of estimating the refractive index N(x) at a point with a depth x from the surface toward a supporter using the calculated value obtained in the step 2 and using formula (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
