The present invention relates to a method for operating mobile one-time password (OTP) using locations. The method is performed by a user′s mobile phone including a program that generates an OTP. The method comprises: performing a procedure of registering, in a specified server, a unique value, additionally allocated not to be duplicated and stored in a designated storage area of a user′s mobile phone, after a particular program is installed and driven in order to allow the mobile phone with the particular program installed and driven thereby to be authenticated as an OTP medium that generates an OTP to be used in a specified authentication procedure and is owned by the user; transmitting, to the server, medium authentication information including the unique value stored in the designated storage area in order to allow the user′s mobile phone that has executed the particular program to be authenticated as the OTP medium owned by the user when the particular program is driven by the user′s mobile phone; confirming a unique location value for identifying a particular location area in which location coordinates of the mobile phone positioned by a positioning unit included in the mobile phone are included when the user′s mobile phone that has executed the particular program to be authenticated as the OTP medium owned by the user using the medium authentication information; generating a seed value for generating an OTP using the confirmed location value; and dynamically generating the OTP using at least one seed including the seed value generated by using the location value. |
