PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further downsizing in a recording device including a carriage driving motor, a carrier motor, a drive mechanism which transmits power of the carrier motor to a carrier roller, and a connection part with which an external electric power supply source is connected.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a carriage 17 including an ink jet recording head; a carriage driving motor 47; a carrier means driving motor 32; a gear group 33 which transmits a driving force of the carrier means driving motor 32 to a carrier driving roller 16; and a connection part 52 with which an external electric power supply source is connected. At least a part of the carriage driving motor 47 and at least a part of the connection part 52 are located at the same position in a movement direction (an x direction) of the carriage 17. |
