PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean optical components without affecting projection images.SOLUTION: An image projection device comprises: a wind guide (a wind guide tube 61) that guides a cleaning gas to an optical component (for example, a color wheel 23 and a light tunnel 25) as a cleaning object; a chamber 62 that is connected to the wind guide in a state communicating with the wind guide and forms a closed space allowing light to pass through an interior of the chamber; and a nozzle 67 that is provided in the chamber, and blasts the cleaning gas to an optical component of object. A part of a side wall of the chamber is composed of a translucent optical element (lens 27a). |
