PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal lens image-forming device with compact configurations and a method for liquid crystal lens image-formation that can offer ensured intensities of incident lights and provide higher definitions of images captured in dark environments without using a polarizer.SOLUTION: The image-formation device includes: a lens group 130 with liquid crystal lenses; a driving circuit 120 connected to the liquid crystal lenses for setting one of the liquid crystal lenses in a focused state and setting the other lens in an out-of-focus state; image collecting means 140 for collecting light signals passing through the liquid crystal lenses to create an image and create an out-of-focus image and a focused image from the light signals if the liquid crystal lenses are in the focused state and the out-of-focus state; and image processing means 150 connected to the image collecting means, for receiving and processing the out-of-focus image and the focused image and making a final image-formation image out of the processed focused image.
