PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system comprising a simplified configuration capable of prompting an operator to cool at least a contact site with an interior of an object at an insertion part without reducing the illumination light quantity and also without impeding the observation and treatment within the interior of the object.SOLUTION: The endoscope system comprises: an insertion part; an observation window 11; a fluid nozzle 51; a temperature detection part 62; and an image processing part 65 which generates image signals of an object image and which when the temperature of the insertion part equal to or higher than a predetermined value is detected by the temperature detection part 62, superposes on the image signals an index image mimicking at least one of the shape and color of a stain adhered to the observation window 11 in such a manner that at least a part of the object image is hidden, and displays the superposed image on a monitor 36. |
