PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module in which the efficiency of packaging inside a housing is increased.SOLUTION: An optical module 100 comprises: an optical transmission component 21 and/or an optical reception component provided, on the outside of a housing 24, with a sleeve 23 having a cylindrical inner wall surface into which an optical fiber is inserted; a tabular printed circuit board 11 to which the optical transmission component 21 and/or the optical reception component are connected; a member (optical fiber tray 30) disposed on the side of the optical transmission component 21 and/or the optical reception component on which side they are provided with the sleeve 23, and having a prescribed thickness; an enclosure 10 for accommodating the printed circuit board 11 provided with the optical transmission component 21 and/or the optical reception component and the member having the prescribed thickness. The optical module 100 is characterized in that the center axis on the cylindrical inner wall surface of the sleeve 23 has a direction inclined relative to the printed circuit board 11 to which the optical transmission component 21 and/or the optical reception component are connected. |
