PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting system, etc. that can rapidly and simply create component data for an alternative component in a production site.SOLUTION: A component mounting system 1 has mounting machines M1 to M3 for mounting a component supplied from a supply reel 14 onto a board, a data creation device 3 for creating component data for each component, and a component arrangement work assisting device 4 for checking whether a component arranged at a predetermined position in a component supply unit is a component to be arranged at the position. The component arrangement work assisting device 4 has a controller 24 for executing processing of making the data creation device 3 create the component data, and a bar code reader 25 for acquiring component ID from a bar code label provided to the supply reel 14. The controller 24 transmits, to the data creation device 3, the component ID of a master component acquired by the bar code reader 25 and the component ID of an alternative component which can be substituted by the master component, thereby requesting creation of the component data for the alternative component. |
