PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption and reduce noise by arranging an opening and closing valve at a high-speed side intake port and a fuel injection valve at a low-speed side intake port of a cylinder equipped with two intake valves in each cylinder and opening said opening and closing valve by a presribed opening-degree with a medium load at medium speed and closing the opening and closing valve with low or high load. CONSTITUTION:In an engine equipped with two intake valves 1A and 1B in each cylinder, an opening and closing valve 11 driven by an actuator 12 is installed at a high-speed side intake port 2B, and a fuel injection valve 5 is installed onto a low-speed side intake port 2A. Said opening and closing valve 11 detects the engine revolution speed from a crank-angle signal and detects the engine load from an inhaled-air flow-rate signal, and the opening and closing valve 11 is operated in the opening direction by the actuator 12 by a controller 13, and said valve is opened with a medium load at medium speed, and further the valve is constituted so as to be closed with the lower and higher load, and thus combustion efficiency is improved. |
