The tailboard arrangement has a locking mechanism (25) for the tailboard (12) fitted in the foot region (24) of a support beam (9). The locking mechanism is connected by a coupling rod (30) with a hydraulic cylinder unit (18) such that on actuating the cylinder in the opening direction the locking mechanism releases the swivel movement. On actuating the cylinder in the closing direction the locking mechanism locks the swivel movement. The locking mechanism consists of a swivel bar (26) which in the closed position engages the tailboard.
