The present invention relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, a receiving device in the receiving method which enable higher-speed, low-power consumption processing of emergency warning information within the DVB-T2 standard. This transmission device is provided with an emergency warning information acquisition unit which acquires emergency warning information, a content acquisition unit which acquires content, a transmission frame generation unit which, as a T2 frame conforming to the DVB-T2 standard and comprising a P1 signal that includes P1 signaling, a P2 symbol that includes L1 pre-signaling, and data symbols, generates a T2 frame which, in addition to P1 signaling or L1 pre-signaling, includes emergency warning notification information indicating that emergency warning information is being transmitted, and a transmission unit which transmits the T2 frame as a digital broadcast signal. The present invention can be applied to a transmission device that can transmit digital broadcast signals conforming to the DVB-T2 standard. |
