Provided is a mirror in which a light transmitting layer is made of ceramic to improve reflecting performance. A mirror (10A) has a light transmitting layer (11) made of ceramic and a reflective layer (12) disposed on a rear surface of the light transmitting layer (11) to reflect light incident from a surface of the light transmitting layer (11). Furthermore, an intermediate layer (13) having a refractive index less than that of the light transmitting layer (11) is disposed between the light transmitting layer (11) and the reflective layer (12). Thus, since the intermediate layer (13) which is a rear surface reflection preventing layer is disposed between the light transmitting layer (11) and the reflective layer (12), light which is incident into the light transmitting layer (11) and then has to be emitted from the rear surface can be suppressed from being internally reflected at a rear interface of the light transmitting layer (11), so that the reflection efficiency of solar light may be improved. |
