PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pedestrian to understand that a vehicle is in an automatic running state.SOLUTION: A vehicle control apparatus can switch an operation mode between a manual operation mode in which an occupant performs all of operations of his/her own vehicle and an automatic operation mode in which a control system of the vehicle automatically performs some or all of the operations of his/her own vehicle. The vehicle control apparatus includes a control part that outputs a command to notify the outside of his/her own vehicle that his/her own vehicle is in the automatic operation mode, when his/her own vehicle runs in the automatic operation mode.
