A damping circuit having an input terminal and an output terminal is described. The damping circuit comprises a driver having an input and an output; an RC circuit coupled between the input terminal and the output; and a resistor coupled between the output and the output terminal, wherein the RC circuit delays passing a signal from the output terminal to the input terminal and a low impedance associated with the driver generally reduces ringing.

1. A damping circuit, comprising:
a damping output terminal configured to receive a switching signal; a resistive-capacitive (RC) circuit coupled to the damping output terminal to establish a delay to the switching signal; and a driver circuit having:
an input coupled to the RC circuit;an output coupled with the damping output terminal;a first buffer circuit coupled between the input and output, and configured to damp a rising edge of the switching signal responsive to the delay; anda second buffer circuit coupled between the input and output, and configured to damp a falling edge of the switching signal responsive to the delay.
