PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device that adjusts an amount of discharge of a developer, taking fluidity of the developer into consideration.SOLUTION: A development device 4 comprises: a developer tank 40; a development unit 44; a connection route 420; an inverse conveyance part 421; a derivation route 422; a resistance member 423; an acquisition unit 90; and a control unit 90. The developer tank 40 is configured to receive a developer including toner and a carrier serving as a magnetic body, and the inverse conveyance part 421 is provided in the connection route 420, and configured to convey the developer in an opposite direction of a direction where the developer in a circulation path 400 heads for a discharge part 43. The derivation route 422 is a route that detours the inverse conveyance part 421, and can derive the developer to the discharge part 43. The resistance member 423 is provided that can suppress derivation of the developer in the derivation route 422. The acquisition unit 90 is configured to acquire information relating to fluidity of the developer in the developer tank 40 as fluidity information, and the control unit 90 is configured to control the resistance member 423 on the basis of the fluidity information to adjust an amount of discharge of the developer. |
