发明名称 Shearing apparatus
摘要
1,064,953. Shearing. UNITED ENGINEERING & FOUNDRY CO. April 6, 1964 [April 9, 1963], No. 14071/63. Heading B3W. A shear for plate or strip material comprises a housing 26 rotatably supporting a shaft which is independently connected to a frame and a knifehead to cause reciprocatory movement thereof towards and away from the material to be cut, the knifehead being reciprocable in the frame, a member 36 pivotally connected at one portion to the frame and at another portion to the housing for controlling the movement of the frame so that a knife carried by the knifehead is perpendicular to the material during the severing of the material and upon completion thereof is moved away from the sheared edge of the material and maintained in this position until it passes the sheared edge during its return stroke and means for adjusting the axis. of rotation of one of the connecting portions of the member. The apparatus comprises a pair of similar shears (20) and 21, one of which is fixed in position and the other transversely adjustable of the path of movement of a plate P. Construction of shears.-Each shear comprises a housing 26, a crank shaft (30) driven at each end by variable speed motors through worm gearing (32), an eccentric 34 connected to a frame 35 and two eccentrics (41), Fig. 3 (not shown), and 42 connected to a blade carrier 46 fitted with a blade 47 and received in guides 46a in the frame 35. A link 36 is pivoted to the frame 35 at one end and at the other end is mounted on spaced apart eccentrics on a motordriven shaft 38. A second blade 49 is carried by a holder 48. Transverse scrap cutter blades 51 and 52 are carried by the upper and lower blades respectively. The relative positions of the eccentrics 34, 41 and 42 are such that when the cutting stroke of the blade carrier 46 is completed, the frame 35 is still moving downwards but due to the link 36 is also moving away from the sheared edge of the plate P so that the knife 47 does not rub on the return stroke. The clearance between the cutters is adjusted by rotation of the shaft 38. The blade 47 is set at an angle to the blade 49 and the stroke is such that the highest end of the blade as seen in Fig. 3 will not contact the plate. Work feeding means.-A shear entry table has driven rollers (10), Fig. 1a (not shown), and a work-engaging clamp (15) driven by cable, from a unit (17), along a track (16). Adjacent the shears a reciprocating gripper (73, 74), Fig. 6 (not shown), clamping by a fluid cylinder (75), grips the plate and feeds it forward during the return stroke of the shear. The gripper is driven by a quick-return motion comprising a pivoted arm (64) and a variablethrow eccentric block (66). The frame (68) carrying the block is rotated from the crankshaft 30 via a shaft (58). The trimmed plate is removed from the shear by a pair of pinch rollers (22) and a driven roller table (23). The scrap trimmed from the plate edges is removed by a conveyer (50), Fig. 2 (not shown). Work positioning means.-Associated with the shear entry table is a straight edge guide (14) which is offset from one of the knives of the adjacent shear so that the required amount is trimmed from the plate edge. The plate is gripped and moved against this guide by assemblies (11, 12, 13). On the upper blade of each shear (20), 21 is an extension (53) which has a hardened steel liner (54) which precedes the upper knife as it descends, engages the sheared edge of the plate and centres it between the shears. On the delivery side of the shear are fixed guides (25) aligned with one of the knives of the adjacent shear and pushers (24) which keep the plate against these guides.
