PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which reduces erroneous insertion of a liquid storage body in the recording device, and reduce erroneous detection of the liquid storage body when the liquid storage body is erroneously inserted.SOLUTION: A recording device includes a carriage which can move in a predetermined moving direction, a holder arranged inside the carriage, and a liquid storage body detachably mounted on the holder. The liquid storage body includes an electronic component for holding information of the liquid storage body, and a projection part projecting from a side surface of the liquid storage body. Either of the holder or a casing of the carriage has a contact for contacting with the electronic component with the liquid storage body mounted on the holder. The holder has a wall part having a receiving part for receiving the projection part and facing to the side surface of the liquid storage body. When the projection part is supported by a support part positioned above the receiving part on the wall part, the electronic component and the contact are in a separated state. |
