PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle braking device that allows appropriate brake assist control to be performed based on operation of a brake pedal by a driver at a collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Responding to occurence of a predetermined collision to a vehicle 10, a speed difference &Dgr;V between speed Vb before the collision and speed Va after the collision is calculated, and if the speed difference &Dgr;V is equal to a predetermined speed difference (&Dgr;V1) or more, a threshold T for performing brake assist control is changed from a predetermined first threshold T1 to a second threshold T2 smaller than the first threshold T1. |
