The present invention is to prevent an affect of the accident by detecting an accident current caused by a problem in a moment and quickly separating the accident current from direct power supply though a problem such as an accident or the like occurs. To solve the assignment, the current type direct current breaker of the present invention has a current switch, a condenser for a current, and a current circuit formation switch, installed on the other side of the current switch through the condenser for a current, which are connected in series. The current type direct current breaker comprises: a current circuit connected to a main switch in parallel; a transformer for measurement which measures a voltage of the condenser for a current by being connected to the current circuit; and a detection unit which detects a voltage change in the condenser for a current measured by the transformer for measurement. The current type direct current breaker can monitor closed circuits of the current switch and the current circuit formation switch which discharge charge charged in the condenser for a current based on the voltage change in the condenser for a current detected by the detection unit. |
