The present invention relates to a sewing machine having a compressed air providing unit which can smoothly and rapidly fold fabric when the fabric is sewn in a state that an edge of the fabric is folded, and can transfer impurities such as bits of thread or debris coming out of the edge of the fabric to the inside of a folded portion of the fabric. The sewing machine includes: a fabric folding guide unit which enables the edge of the fabric to be sewn to be rolled and folded; and a compressed air providing unit which is arranged beside the fabric folding guide unit and prevents the debris or the bits of thread, generated on the edge of the fabric when the fabric is cut, from being exposed to the outside by pushing the debris or the bits of thread toward the inside. The fabric folding guide unit includes: a twist bent unit which guides the edge of the fabric to be folded upwards; and an over-folding prevention unit which prevents a portion of the edge of the fabric folded by the twist bent unit from being folded again therein. |
