The present invention relates to a monitoring camera which can minimize deterioration in a proper monitoring function while ensuring images necessary to search for a party responsible for damage by accurately monitoring and detecting only an impact capable of causing damage to an installation structure, instantly notifying a manager, and tracking and monitoring the subject of the impact if an impact is exerted to an installation support. The monitoring camera comprises: a photographing part for obtaining an image; a pan motor and a tilt motor for horizontally and vertically rotating the photographing part; an acceleration sensor for detecting an external force applied from the outside and outputting acceleration values in triaxial directions; and a control part for controlling the operation of the photographing part, the pan motor and the tilt motor. The control part receives the acceleration values in triaxial directions from the acceleration sensor, determines overall acceleration, acceleration in a horizontal direction and acceleration in a vertical direction from the acceleration values in triaxial directions, determines whether a vehicle has collided with the installation structure, based on the magnitude of the overall acceleration, the ratio of the acceleration in a horizontal direction to the acceleration in a vertical direction and acceleration duration, and transmits an impact warning signal to a remote monitoring device and changes a photographing direction so that the photographing part can be faced to the colliding vehicle by controlling the pan motor and the tilt motor if the vehicle is determined to have collided, wherein the pan motor and the tilt motor are controlled so that the photographing part can track and monitor the colliding vehicle by recognizing the colliding vehicle from the obtained image. |
