SPECIFIC BIOMARKER FOR IDENTIFICATION OF EXPOSURE TO HEXANAL AND THE METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a biomarker for identifying specific exposure to hexanal, one of volatile organic compounds exposed to the environment and an identification method using the same and, more specifically, to a biomarker in which gene expression is increased or decreased concentration-dependently by exposure concentration of hexanal and a method for identifying specific exposure to hexanal using the same. The biomarker of the present invention can be effectively used for monitoring and determining contamination of hexanal in an environmental sample by using reactive genes selected through a DNA microarray chip as a biomarker, and can be used as a tool for elucidating a toxicity mechanism specifically induced by hexanal.
