PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separator suppressed in the blockage of a filtration film.SOLUTION: In a membrane separator 2 for filtering water to be treated, the water to be treated is passed through tabular filtration films 4a by dipping a flat membrane unit 4 having the filtration films 4a juxtaposed to face a filtration surface, thereby to provide a membrane washing device 5 for suppressing the blockage of the filtration films 4a. The membrane washing device 5 has a disc 5a rotating around a shaft 5b, and the disc 5a is so disposed out of contact with the filtration films 4a as to cause the principal face of the disc 5a and the principal faces of the filtration films 4a to oppose each other. At the time of the filtration of the water to be treated, the shaft 5b is rotated by an electric motor 11 thereby to rotate the disc 5a between the filtration films 4a. |
