摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recognizing the location of a user′s vehicle, which can detect landmark information by using a camera and radio detection and ranging (RADAR), and accurately recognize the location of a user′s vehicle by combining the detected landmark information. The apparatus for recognizing the location of a user′s vehicle comprises: a sensor unit which includes two or more sensors, and measures information on surrounding environment of a vehicle through each sensor; a landmark detecting unit which detects landmark information based on measurement data measured through the sensor; a landmark recognizing unit which recognizes landmarks by selectively combining one or more information among the detected landmark information, and updates probability distribution by applying the combined landmark information; and a location estimating unit which estimates the location of the user′s vehicle by using the probability distribution updated by the landmark recognizing unit.
