PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use wavelength resources.SOLUTION: A search unit 111 searches for a plurality of paths available in a network. A selection unit 112 selects a wavelength to which an end period closest to the end period of a new path is set from the retrieved plurality of paths. If the new path belongs to a category of a definite period 1a, the selection unit 112 refers to a wavelength management attribute table 121, and preferentially selects a wavelength to which an end period shorter than the end period 1e of the new path and close to the end period 1e of the new path is set. If the new path belongs to a category of an indefinite period 1b, the selection unit 112 refers to the wavelength management attribute table 121, and selects the shortest wavelength among wavelengths related to the indefinite period 1b. A setting unit 113 sets a path of the selected wavelength to the new path. An update unit 114 updates the wavelength management attribute table 121. |
