A methacrylic resin composition containing from 90 mass% to 100 mass% of a methacrylic resin [A] in which the total contained amount of structural units derived from methyl methacrylate is 90 mass% or higher, the equivalent polystyrene molecular weight MA corresponding to the retention time that indicates the maximum intensity value in a chromatogram obtained by gel permeation chromatography is from 30,000 to 100,000, the area SgA of a region surrounded by the baseline of the above chromatogram and a trendline obtained by fitting to a Gaussian function by a nonlinear least-squares method using data in a range indicating an intensity of 70% or higher relative to the above maximum intensity value is 45-80% relative to the area SA surrounded by the above chromatogram and the baseline thereof, and the ratio MwgA/MngA of the equivalent polystyrene weight-average molecular weight MwgA and number-average molecular weight MngA calculated on the basis of a trendline obtained by the above fitting is from 1.01 to 1.20.
