An aircraft is equipped with a cooling system (10). The cooling system (10) comprises a cooling circuit (12) allowing circulation of a two-phase refrigerant therethrough, an evaporator (14a-d) disposed in a first section (12a) of the cooling circuit (12) and having a refrigerant inlet (16a-d) and a refrigerant outlet (18a-d), a condenser (22a, 22b) disposed in a second section (12b) of the cooling circuit (12) and having a refrigerant inlet (24a, 24a', 24b, 24b') and a refrigerant outlet (26a, 26b), a first cooling circuit control valve (36) disposed in the in the cooling circuit (12) between the refrigerant outlet (18a-d) of the evaporator (14a-d) and the refrigerant inlet (24a, 24a', 24b, 24b') of the condenser (22a, 22b), and a second cooling circuit control valve (38) disposed in the in the cooling circuit (12) between the refrigerant outlet (26a, 26b) of the condenser (22a, 22b) and the refrigerant inlet (16a-d) of the evaporator (14a-d). The first and the second cooling circuit control valve (36, 38) in their closed state are adapted to seal the first section (12a) of the cooling circuit (12) from the second section (12b) of the cooling circuit (12). The second section (12b) of the cooling circuit (12) is installed in an unpressurized region (40) of the aircraft.
